Job Description

The Oracle EBS Operations Functional Lead is primarily responsible for understanding a business problem and designing an efficient solution working with business and technical resources.  TRAC Intermodal is the world’s largest provider of marine and domestic chassis operating throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.  TRAC’s intermodal operations include long term leasing, short term rentals through extensive chassis pool programs and pool/fleet management.  Driven by a fundamental shift in its business model, TRAC has encountered significant growth through the acquisition of assets from steamship lines and customers and embarked on Enterprise Legacy System Replacement initiative, including an implementation of core enterprise resource planning system.


  • Maintain solution integrity between functional, technical and data migration / integration tracks
  • Ensure solutions are complete from an end to end perspective, follow design and architecture principles, and propose the proper tool sets for end user support
  • Facilitate systems roll-outs, change management, transitions from project phase to on-going systems support
  • Transform business problems into functional / technology solutions
  • Solution implementation: requirements definition, solution design, user training, performance optimization, system test, and go-live support

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional communication (written and Verbal) skills, able to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously among changing priorities
  • Bachelor degree and 5+ years of experience with Oracle e-business suite R12 implementation / upgrade projects
  • Ability to understand business problem and respond in business language
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Operations Modules (PO, Inv, OM, Install Base, EAM, contracts etc) along with Technical knowledge. Also clear understanding of the end to end processes
  • Design, testing, and Implementation experience with all related modules in Operations area. Must have deep understanding of relevant application set-ups and organization structure
  • Experience working with design, implementation, and support in a dynamic, changing environment
  • Must be able to structure and conduct functional testing of configurations and delivered RICE objects, conduct user training sessions, work with users to resolve process questions / issues
  • Familiarity with Oracle’s methodology documents such as BR-100, MD-050, MD-070, MD-120, TE-040 etc.
  • Ability to conduct ad-hoc functionality discussions with user groups and translate requirements into system configuration
  • Write test scripts for business process scenarios
  • Should have basic PL/SQL, Query writing skills
  • Performed application setup, system configurations, end-end testing, system analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering, database design, development, Unit testing, documentation, QA, implementation, integration and production support for various projects
